app66 is the recurring public software game where six7 industries keeps exactly 66 live iPhone apps. every new app forces one existing app into retirement.

what is app66?

the internet decides the fun creative choices. six7 industries directs, builds, tests, submits, maintains, and handles product decisions.

weekly cycle

  1. day 1: elimination begins with two apps on the chopping block.
  2. day 2: two new app ideas compete and overrides may appear.
  3. day 3: the audience chooses the name.
  4. day 4: the audience chooses the logo.
  5. day 5: the audience chooses the color scheme.
  6. day 6: the audience chooses promotional text and splash direction.
  7. day 7: six7 builds, submits, retires the losing app after publication, and restarts.

what the internet decides

which app retires, which concept gets built, app name, logo, colors, promotional text, splash screen, and other selected creative identity decisions.

what six7 decides

features, architecture, engineering, experience, monetization, security, privacy, App Store compliance, release timing, bug fixes, and maintenance.

the philosophy

the internet builds the soul. six7 industries builds the machine.

override rules

every official decision begins with curated options. anyone may submit a better comment. when comment likes / video likes is at least 0.75, that comment qualifies to replace an official option if it is legal, safe, non-infringing, and technically reasonable.

tie rule

if a poll is a genuine exact tie, exactly 50 / 50 by actual vote count, Sam is the tiebreaker. this is the only normal circumstance where Sam selects the winner.

graveyard and transparency

retired apps stay online as history and may become revival eligible. app66 may share downloads, revenue, expenses, votes, progress, Apple approvals, rejections, successes, failures, and meaningful business data without exposing secrets or sensitive user data.

founding creators

a community member who originates the seed of an app through a successful override may be credited as founding creator of that app project. this does not make them a cofounder or owner of six7 industries.
